Mobile blog - An apple (pie) a day...

A quick snack at the Ikea cafeteria. Followed by a nice salmon entree.

Ikea's cafeteria may not have that much of a selection but the convenience of it and low price, those factors make up for it.

Try their new veggie crepe - it may not sound that appetizing but it is quite good. Of course their trademark Swedish meatballs is a staple and for 3.99 it is a steal.

Ok now back to taking care of the pie. And idea gathering for shelving and storage.

Cheers!

Mobile blog - A lot of katsu...

Chicken katsu, that is! ;-)

From lunch at Wild Wasabe (still looks weird spelled with an 'e' at the end...).

Ja ne!

Mobile blog - Is the wasabi wild?

Looking for some grub around and went over to a japanese resto - and to my surprise, it isn't there anymore.

Umenoki is now Wild Wasabe...(isn't it supposed to be spelled 'Wasabi' and not with a 'be' at the end...ah, pause my food just came in)... Now let's sampe the food shall we?

First impressions: food is good with generous servings. I got chicken katsu and a salmon roll. The katsu was a tad overcooked on some pieces, but not bad. Sushi nice and fresh.

The staff - I did miss the 'irashaimase' greeting - maybe they'll incorporate that as they progress. And they could use better menus. Right now they're temp menus printed on paper.

Overall, not bad for a new restaurant. Will come back here on Nw Thurnan and see if they improved :-)

In the meantime, itadakimasu!!

Mobile blog - Good Taste? Hai!!

Was over at the Good Taste restaurant last week and I do say that the place does live up to its name.

Chinese cuisine with a wide selection of food to suit a variety of palettes. Can't decide? They have combo menus that you can pick from, like this one I got. And a very big serving too!

You have got to try the wonton soup as it is their specialty. A friend of mine kept telling me how good it was and I just took her word for it. But now that I've tried it, it definitely was good!

Swing by the Good Taste if you're along TV Highway between 209th and Cornelius Pass road. You won't regret it (well, maybe if you are on a diet, that is)...

Cheers!

Mobile blog - Classic JDM

The Acura NSX. The only Honda vehicle that I wouldn't mind owning. It has got the history and creds to it, and it hollers 'JDM' at every angle.

All aluminum, lightweight, good balance. Now what real car enthusiast (not the 'oh-i-want-it-because-it's-famous' kind of pseudo car lover) would not want to have those qualities in a car?

Though not in production anymore, I bet the NSX will be revived soon enough. Just like Toyota's AE86.

Togue, anyone? ;-)

Mmm pasta...

Home made pasta. Now that's good (and it is as good as it looks indeed)! Itadakimasu!!
