Plus you get to practice your skills and wares. If you can follow instructions and have a good sense of gauging things, then cooking should be a snap! Well, ok, learning curves differ :-p
On hand is a beef steak style entree prepped by my sweetie. With onion rings on the side (which disappeared quite suddenly after the photo was taken).
